About
Hi, I'm Thi
I'm a calligraphy and lettering artist based in Brighton, Michigan, specializing in custom event stationery, pointed pen calligraphy, and hand-lettered keepsakes.
I work full-time as a technical consultant in software, so I've spent years training my eye to notice the smallest details. Calligraphy started during COVID as a quiet creative outlet, a way to step away from screens and make something real with my hands during a tough time.
What began as a personal way to unwind quickly turned into a passion for letterforms, clean layouts, and the joy of seeing a client's reaction to their finished piece. I love hearing how happy a recipient was to receive a custom gift I got to help create. Today, I bring that same patience and detail to pointed pen calligraphy, wedding escort cards, and personalized lettering on surfaces like cardstock, acrylic, canvas, and seasonal items like pumpkins.
Beyond the Ink
When I'm not lettering
When I'm not at my desk with a pointed pen or keyboard, you'll usually find me training on the mat in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, coaching kids' classes, building an app to map how BJJ techniques connect, spending time with my sons (one is a golden retriever!), working on DIY home projects, or cooking up a big batch of Vietnamese macaroni pork rib soup at home.
